We were so thrilled with the answers we received that we just had to share them. You guys are good at recipes, aren’t you? Guaranteed to be a home run at your next backyard BBQ, break out the tiny umbrellas and try making a couple of these unique summer hydrators at home.
Rose Water Refresher
“My new favorite drink is Rose Water—pluck organic rose petals and float them in purified water”
1 cup organic rose petals
2 cups water
For more, try 2 cups petals to 4 cups water in a pitcher.
Let sit for a few hours, strain, and drink.
Roses are cooling and calming, so this makes a perfect summer drink. You can even eat the rose petals or add them to salads!
From Rene K.
“For my favorite summer drink, I blend banana, watermelon and freshly squeezed lemon + lime! It is so refreshing and a great way to use up extra watermelon with all the added hydration benefits!”
1 cup frozen watermelon
Add banana, watermelon, and freshly squeezed lemon and lime to your blender. Blend until smooth.
“Hello friends! One of my very favorite summer drinks is a tulsi infusion. I begin the day by plucking a small handful of fresh tulsi leaves and making a jar of tea with them. When I start sipping, the tea is hot. But as the day flows on, my tea gets cold. Luckily this tea is delicious hot or cold! Enjoy!”
1/2 cup tulsi (holy basil) leaves
For a nourishing overnight infusion, add your tulsi to a mason jar, and fill the rest of the jar with hot water. Cover and let sit overnight. In the AM, place your infusion in the refrigerator, and you can expect iced tulsi tea by lunchtime!
